NARRATION: Five years ago
(Exterior, Food Baron)
Nate: (O.S.); Sup, Kate. Is that the new schedule?

Kate: Yep, freshly squeezed from Corbin's teat.
Nate: Wow, I'm closing on Saturday night AGAIN??

Tracy (coming up behind Nate): Aww, poor widdle Natey-Wate has to work a Saturday? Suck it up, buttercup!
Nate: Ugh, here we go.

Tracy: You know, I bet he schedules you like that because he knows there's no chance you're out hooking up on weekends.
Nate: Isn't it time for you to slither off to lunch, Tracy?

Tracy (looking smug): Toodaloo, Incel! ❤️

We're back, and we're going BACK IN TIME!

When I decided to do comics again, I wanted to tackle a self-contained story first so I could get back into practice. We saw a lot of Nate and Tracy's relationship in the OG comic, but we never really found out why they were together in the first place. As it turns out, there's a story there, and it gets pretty wild.

New Site, New Format!

As you've probably noticed, I've taken on the challenge of doing full-page comics now instead of my beloved old horizontal strip format.

The new TG site is adaptive, which means you'll see a standard comic page layout on Desktop, but you'll get a vertical scroll if you read it on Mobile. (You can also fake the Mobile view by making your Desktop window skinnier and see the transition.)

This is pretty sweet! But it's also extra work to set up for each comic, so I am just testing it out at the moment.

Let me know if you like the Vertical Scroll feature! If enough people like the Vertical Scroll, I can even default to that in the newsletter for a better mobile email reading experience.

I'm also going to be adding more to the site soon, including an all-new Guest Art gallery, so if you've ever drawn my characters, be sure to send them to me so I can tape them up on my internet refrigerator for everyone to see.

Don't Forget To Sign Up For the Newsletter!

Thanks to everyone who has already joined the Treading Ground Newsletter on Substack! You're getting the full comic delivered to your Inbox every Thursday, but I also have a bunch of extra stuff ready to send out.

On Monday I'll have some never-before-seen, seasonally appropriate art of Rose to send your way. Here's a sneak preview!
