In most states, the legal age is 16. It’s only like, California and a few others where you have to be 18. Why does no one check this?

In Washington state you MAY be okay if one person is 16, but only if the other person is within 36 months of the first person’s age. If Nate is 20, that would be a problem. I don’t know how it is in the state they are supposed to be in.
