Much Better

Much Better

I wonder how confusing all these “a” comics are going to be when looking through the archive. I’m going to assume the A stands for “ancillary,” but most of these are pretty complete comics in their own right. More practice is never a bad thing, though!

I’ve recently added a couple more entries to the Comics Worth Checking Out list. Since that list is unobtrusively tucked away in the bottom right corner of the site, it makes sense to highlight the new entries in a post.

The only thing that Orneryboy seems to have in common with Treading Ground is the employment of the occasional F-bomb, but it’s a wonderful comic about the aforementioned boy who happens to be ornery, DirtyGirl (who is probably not Dirty in the way you’re thinking), and their pet zombie. Cute, funny, and full of great animations and easter eggs.

Living With Insanity on the other hand is a much closer match in tone. Excellent artwork and great writing make this comic worth a close look. Also, boobs. Or so I’m told.

Keep up the good work, David! And thanks for the link yourself. :-)

Hey, I noticed that you didn’t post the comic where Steve calls Nate and asks him if he wants to move in. I thought it was intentional at first, but then noticed in an earlier comment post ( I was reading through the archives) there had been another comic left out that you re-added. Was it the same for this missing comic or did you no longer feel the need for that one in the story?

Erin – That one was intentional. There are a few of the very rough comics at the beginning that I opted not to bring over when I upgraded the site. The story flows better without them. They may turn up in some future collection as “lost episodes.”

Steve’s symbol is the Japanese kanji for “ten,” which means sky/heaven. Steve likes it because it appears on some of Akuma’s win animations in Street Fighter.

  5. Erin says:

Btw, what does the symbol on Steve’s necklace mean?

Hi Nick! Thanks for the shoutout!

The theory of Party Popularity (Loser + Buying Beer = V.I.P. Status) is an established scientific fact.

He’s really having fun with that marker, huh?
