And yet, Exekiel 25:17 reads “I will carry out great vengeance on them and punish them in my wrath. Then they will know that I am the LORD, when I take vengeance on them.”
You apparently prefer the New International Version to whatever Black Liberation Theology version Jules may be using. (Looks like it’s derived from the King James Version.) And yet you still can’t spell Ezekiel correctly while you’re busy “correcting” the already-correct quote.
Yeah, so that’s really homophobic.
WIN AT OBVIOUSNESS MASTERY
Homophobic is a very incorrect term. Phobic means fear. We just dont like gays, we dont fear them
“phobia” is a technical term essentially describing the part of your brain handling the emotion. It does NOT mean you go gibbering in terror. It basically means you don’t like it, nothing more. More advanced cases MIGHT involve actual terror but it’s not necessary.
For that matter, dislike and fear are the same emotion, just different levels of it.
aaaand now I’m done reading a comic full of bigots, that was unpleasant.
I think homophobia should be exposed and ridiculed. If you’re so afraid of it that you can’t do that, it’s not my problem.
Funny, I figured Steve was less honestly bigoted than just being a dick for it’s own sake, as ever. (He and Arne must one day go to war.)
I don’t want to spoil anything, but it does get addressed later on.
I like how he (and most other homophobs) never quote the entire thing which also states you sould lay with a woman or an animal either… inanimate objects are ok though^_^
Do not lay with a man as you would with a woman? What if you lay with him like he’s a man? Oh…God Likes Bottoms!
Frankly, I dislike thin-skinned folks who can’t see a representation of bigotry without thinking it’s an endorsement even more than I dislike bigots. Hiding hurtful opinions behind a willfully ignorant veneer just perpetuates the hurt. Whatever, on to the next comic!
So the curiosity hit me and DL’ed and watched Ai no Kusabi. It’s pretty softcore. Doesn’t justify the faces on the poor guys.
